I am Lana Traum- a ceramic artist interested in creating charming and playful yet functional items.

I'm interested in the tactile nature of functional ceramics, and the relationship between object and user.

Therefore I like to play with textured surfaces and glazes with dimensional color.

I mainly work with thrown and altered forms, and pull inspiration from fairy tales and fables.

I believe in finding childlike joy in everyday objects, and in doing so, romanticizing daily life through tableware.
