Wind Controller #1 - A special soundbank of 100 Programs and 100 Combinations specifically designed by wind controller expert Matt Traum to be controlled with a wind controller such as the Yamaha WX5, WX7, WX11, WindJamm'r, Akai EWI, EWI SOLO, EWI USB, EVI, EWI5000, EWI4000s, MIDI EVI, MDT, NuEVI, NuRAD, Aodyo Sylphyo, Roland Aerophone, or Softwind Synthophone. These highly expressive sounds are also fantastic for keyboardists when used with a breath controller such as the Yamaha BC1, BC2, or BC3a, TEControl Breath Controllers, MRT Audio Breath Controller, Kelfar BCK-1 Breath Controller, etc... These sounds require a wind controller or breath controller capable of sending AFTERTOUCH data for proper use. WX5 / WX11 / WindJamm'r users and Yamaha breath controller users should contact Matt at Patchman Music as we offer a custom-programmed convertor box that will convert breath controller data into MIDI Aftertouch data. Email Matt for details before ordering.

These sounds do NOT load inside a wind controller or breath controller. They load inside a Korg X5DR or X5D sound module and are then controlled with a wind controller or breath controller that is capable of sending MIDI Aftertouch data from its breath sensor.

Casio DH-100 / DH-200 OWNERS! Since these sounds are set up to respond fully to aftertouch data, they work GREAT when controlled with the Casio DH Series horns such as the DH-100 and DH-200.

X5D/X5DR Volume 1 is an outstanding value containing 200 new Pro Patches! This soundbank was designed to be useful to a horn player. You'll find lots of highly expressive ensemble, layered, and solo instruments, acoustic emulations, breathy wind instruments, gorgeous synth leads, fat brasses, stunning chorded leads, and even some guitars and basses. Hilites include Tenor Sax, Pan Flute, Shakuhatchi, Lyle OBx, EVI Trumpet, Distorted Guitars, Strings, Metheny leads, Osaki, Mandolins, killer basses, Soft Pipe, lots of Brecker-style chorded leads, and much, much more! If you use a wind controller or breath controller, this soundbank is a must!

Formats: This soundbank is available in Standard Midifile (.MID) and Sysex (.SYX) formats for PC/Mac. You will get both formats with your order. Click here for an explanation of the formats.

Attention: Please note that these sounds require that you send Aftertouch from a wind controller or breath controller. Breath controller users and WX5, WX11, and WindJamm'r users will need to use a device such as the MIDI Solutions Event Processor or Anatek's Pocket Mapper or Wind Machine to remap breath controller data to aftertouch. Unlike our other wind controller banks, this soundbank is set up to respond to aftertouch data (not breath controller data) because the X5D/X5DR is not capable of directly responding to breath controller data. "Way Cool! The sounds are great. I knew they would be. The response is good. Some patches allow for flutter tonguing. I was so pleasantly surprised. The strings, percussion, guitars, and analog sounds are great. The non-emulative or analog Combi's are especially good. All are very full sounding. Distortion guitar is good too. I love the EVI, and Brecker Programs and Combi's. The Metheny sounds are quite good too. Can I say it sounds great again?"
