Important System Requirements

To load most of the these sampler banks you must have at least 2 megs of sample RAM installed in your Kurzweil. Many banks in this library are 1.5 megs or less and will load into 2 megs. Several banks are much larger and require up to 16 megs of sample RAM. The amount of sample RAM required is stated in the description of each bank. Please make sure you have an appropriate amount of sample RAM installed in your Kurzweil before ordering. If you have 16 megs (or more) of sample RAM in your Kurzweil you will be able to load any bank in the 2000-Series.

2000-SERIES Features...

• All soundbanks are fully programmed and ready to use and most include at least 10 Programs that highlight the new samples. Most banks have many more Programs than this. Unlike other companies that just sell you raw samples, expecting you to spend hours setting up Programs, we have already done the work for you. There is absolutely no programming necessary with the 2000-SERIES! These are NATIVE Kurzweil banks programmed on the Kurzweil.
  
• Compatible with the K2500 and K2600. (Some drum sounds may sound slightly different on the K2500/2600/2661). KDFX owners may want to reprogram the effects to take advantage of the KDFX features. These programs were not programmed for KDFX.
  
• All samples have been fully optimized using digital sound processing techniques. A great deal of care went into designing these sounds. There are no clicks, pops, or obnoxious loops in the 2000-SERIES.
  
• By eliminating unnecessary circuitry when sampling we avoid any degradation in sound quality. You get the most dynamic, brilliant sounding samples possible.
  
• Most drum kits conform to the GM drum note assignment. No need to remap drums!
  
• Most drum disks include at least 3 or 4 fully programmed, 32-layer GM drum kit Programs utilizing full stereo panning with proper effects levels on each individual drum.

"I looked at many options and recently bought the K2000 CD from Patchman. The variety and bang for the buck made the CD a must have for my small library. I haven't reviewed all of the sounds but was particularly interested in the accordians. There are a number of different timbres to work with - all of which sound great. These samples combined with effective programming really capture the essence of different squeeze boxes. The minimoog samples have the very quick attack and/or the short rise time I associate with the analog Moog. This bank provides a wide selection of strong punchy programs with interesting layers. I immediately incorporated two of these samples into my performance banks. All the different instruments work well together in terms of dynamics, tone and playability. Patchman was a pleasure to deal with and delivered all materials as requested."

"The Patchman sounds that have been optimized for the BC are great. I find that I've never been able to play single note lines more expressively than ever before. The patches respond very well to breath control. The brass section I sequenced sounds WAY better than anything I was able to play with my fingers. I played each part into the sequencer separately so that they would sound like they were played by individual instruments. I was able to tongue an articulation, let the volume come down, shape the note, do swells, etc, that all felt natural. I played a lead on a Sanborn-type alto sax patch over a sequence I created and it sounds great. The trumpet, 'bone, and alto/tenor/bari/bass saxes were great."
